Love
In the Bible, love is the most fundamental aspect of relationship between people. It comprises affection, faithfulness, sexuality, friendship, mutual responsibility and knowing the other person. Love is one of the most important themes in the Old and New Testaments — not just love between people but also the love between God and man.
- In the Old Testament
God’s love for people comes to expression primarily in his covenant with Israel. - In the New Testament God shows his love for human beings first and foremost in the sacrifice of his Son.
