Faithfulness
In the Bible God is called “God of faithfulness”. God is faithful by nature and he is faithful in his relationship to people. Faithfulness is also a value that should characterise the relationship between people.
- “Faithfulness” in the Old Testament
refers to a person’s reliability and constancy. It is a quality that is characteristic of God’s nature and of how he behaves towards human beings. - “Faithfulness” in the New Testament
is a value that people should aspire to in their dealings with others. In addition to this, faithfulness is an important quality of God and Christ. Finally, believers are encouraged to remain true to their faith, despite hardships.
