Sickle

A sickle was used for harvesting wheat. The sickle consisted of a bent metal knife that was fastened to a short wooden handle.
While harvesting, the farmer would hold the bunch of stems in one hand and cut them off using the sickle with his other hand. The severed stems were placed on the field in a sheaf.
The angel in Revelation 14 uses his sickle to harvest grapes.
