Wine Offering

At a wine offering, or libation, wine was poured over the altar (or over the meat or the bread on the altar). In the Tent of the LORD’s presence there were special gold bowls for the wine offering.

When Did this Offering Take Place?

Every offering had to be accompanied by a drink offering, but there were also special occasions for a libation of this kind:
