Wine Offering
At a wine offering, or libation, wine was poured over the altar
When Did this Offering Take Place?
Every offering had to be accompanied by a drink offering, but there were also special occasions for a libation of this kind:
- at the ordination of Aaron as high priest (Exodus 29:41
); - after the first harvest following the conquest of Canaan (Leviticus 23:18
); - after a Nazirite
has concluded his time (Numbers 6:13-15 ).
