The Bible is full of God’s promises. His word is a love letter to us, his children and his loved ones. Over and over again, he reaffirms his love and care for us, despite the fact that we attempt to get through so many days and things in our own strength, and we rely on our own understanding and reserves.

God welcomes even a limited effort from his children to seek his presence. Even the murmurs of God’s name are very pleasing to him. He stands ready to receive you. “Call on me,” says the Lord in Psalm 50:15, “I will deliver you.” And in Lamentations, Jeremiah testifies that God came to him when he called.

Gods wants to share your day to day drudgery and hardships. He wants to be there and be part of your life each day. In our attempts to have our own way or when we neglect to make God a part of every moment of our existence, we deprive ourselves of so many blessings and we satisfy ourselves with so little.

God wants us to share in his grace. He invites us repeatedly in his word. Today, we remember James’ words that tell us that God wants to be involved in our lives. Through his Son, Jesus Christ, we are now co-heirs and we have a share in the abundance of the kingdom! Call on God, wherever you are now. “Surely the arm of the Lord is not too weak to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.” (Isaiah 59:1)
