Tanakh

The Jewish name for the Old Testament is Tanakh. This word is formed with the first three letters of three Hebrew words: Torah (“Law”), Neviim (“Prophets”) and Ketuvim (“Writings”). These are the three collections that make up the Old Testament in the Jewish tradition.
The Torah (“Law”) is also called the Pentateuch and is comprised of five books:

Genesis;
Exodus;
Leviticus;
Numbers;
Deuteronomy.
