Sabbath Year and Jubilee Year
The Jubilee (Year of Restoration) was a holy year in the time of the Old Testament. This year reminded the Israelites that they themselves and their land belonged to God. This special year took place once every 49 years (seven times seven). Every seventh year was the Sabbath Year (Seventh Year), and after seven times seven years, it was the Year of Jubilee.
