I put out my hands to You
This is a Psalm of David.
1Lord, please listen to my prayer,
and answer me when I ask You for mercy.
You have always been faithful and righteous.
2Please don't judge me, your servant,
because no one is innocent
when he stands before You.
3My enemies are chasing me.
They trample me into the ground,
and they make me sit in the dark
like someone who has died long ago.
4I am discouraged and afraid.
5I remember what happened long ago,
and I think about all the things
that You have done.
I think about the things that You have made.
6Lord, I put out my hands to You,
and I long for You like
dry land longs for water. Selah
7Lord, please answer me soon,
because I am getting weak.
Please don't look away from me.
If You do, I will die.
8Please tell me every morning
about your love that never ends,
because I trust in You.
Show me what You want me to do
because I pray only to You.
9Lord, please save me from my enemies.
I come to You and ask You to protect me.
10Please teach me to do
what You want because You are my God.
Let your good Spirit lead me on a way
where there are no problems.
11Lord, I belong to You.
Please save my life.
You always do what is right.
Please free me from the trouble that I have.
12You always do what You have promised.
Please stop my enemies,
and destroy those who are against me,
because I am your servant.
