1O God, You are righteous.
Please answer me and help me
when I pray to You.
When I was in trouble, You helped me.
Now please be good to me
and listen to what I pray.
2All of you people, for how long
are you going to take away my honour
and humiliate me?
How long are you going to
accuse me falsely
and tell lies about me? Selah
3You must know that God
has chosen me to belong to Him,
because I believe in Him.
The Lord will hear when I call
and ask Him for help.
4When you are angry and upset, do not sin.
Think calmly about these things
when you go to bed,
and don't say a word. Selah
5Give the right offerings and believe
that the Lord will help you.
6There are many people who ask:
‘Who will help us
and give us something good?’
Lord, please be good to us again.
7You have made me very happy,
happier than those people who have
a lot of wheat and wine.
8Lord, I am not worried
when I go to bed and sleep,
because only You can make me sleep peacefully.
