Strength For Today – Day 7

₅When Jesus entered Capernaum, a Roman officer met him and begged for help: ₆“Sir, my servant is sick in bed at home, unable to move and suffering terribly.”

₇“I will go and make him well,” Jesus said.

₈“Oh no, sir,” answered the officer. “I do not deserve to have you come into my house. Just give the order, and my servant will get well.

₁₃Then Jesus said to the officer, “Go home, and what you believe will be done for you.”

And the officer's servant was healed that very moment.

₂₉For only a penny you can buy two sparrows, yet not one sparrow falls to the ground without your Father's consent. ₃₀As for you, even the hairs of your head have all been counted. ₃₁So do not be afraid; you are worth much more than many sparrows!

₂₈“Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest. ₂₉Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest. ₃₀For the yoke I will give you is easy, and the load I will put on you is light.”
