₁₈God's anger is revealed from heaven against all the sin and evil of the people whose evil ways prevent the truth from being known.

₁₂Every one of us, then, will have to give an account of ourselves to God.

₉Do not complain against one another, my brothers and sisters, so that God will not judge you. The Judge is near, ready to appear.

Sin goes against the very nature of God and therefore it must be punished.
