The Gardener

14Then she turned round and saw Jesus standing there; but she did not know that it was Jesus. 15“Woman, why are you crying?” Jesus asked her. “Who is it that you are looking for?”

She thought he was the gardener, so she said to him, “If you took him away, sir, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and get him.”

Jesus appears as a gardener, one of the people, low in status. He could have appeared as a president of a country to show the people how to run their lives, but no Jesus appears as a gardener. Why? Is it because people today only listen to the powerful and think those who have little have nothing to say? Will we recognize Jesus if he returns as a gardener?
