The Lamb breaks the first 4 seals and opens the scroll
1I saw the Lamb breaking one of the 7 seals of the scroll. Then I heard one of the 4 living_beings shouting. He shouted as loud as thunder and said: ‘You must come.’
2I looked and I saw a white horse, and someone was sitting on the horse. He had a bow_and_arrow and God gave him a laurel-crown. The person on the horse always defeated his enemies and he went out to win.
3When the Lamb broke the 2nd seal, I heard the 2nd living_being shout: ‘You must come.’ 4Then another horse came, a red horse. Someone was sitting on the horse and God told him that he could take away the peace of the people on earth, and then the people would kill each other. God gave him a big sword.
5When the Lamb broke the 3rd seal, I heard the 3rd living_being shout: ‘You must come.’ I looked and I saw a black horse. Someone was sitting on the horse and he had a balance-scale in his hand. 6Then I heard Someone talking. He was among the 4 living_beings and He said: ‘Someone will pay one silver_coin for one quart of wheat or 3 quarts of barley. And you must be careful. Do not waste the olive oil and wine.’
7When the Lamb opened the 4th seal, I heard the 4th living_being shout: ‘You must come.’
8I looked and I saw a pale green horse and someone was sitting on the horse. His name was Death. The place where dead people go was with him and God said to Death and the place where dead people go that they could kill a quarter of all people on earth with wars, famine, diseases and with the wild animals of the earth.
The Lamb opens the 5th seal
9When the Lamb opened the 5th seal of the scroll, I saw the believers who had died. They were under the altar in heaven. The people on earth had killed those believers because they believed what God said and because they told other people that they believed in Him. 10The believers shouted_loudly and asked: ‘Lord, You who are holy and always stay the same, how long will it be before You judge the people on earth and punish them because they have killed us?’
11Then God gave them all white clothes and He told them to wait for a short while, because the people would also kill other servants of God. They had to wait until the people had killed all those other believers, just as they had killed those who were under the altar.
The Lamb opens the 6th seal
12When the Lamb opened the 6th seal of the scroll, I saw there was a big earthquake. The sun became dark, like black sack-cloth, and the moon became red like blood. 13The stars in the sky fell to the earth. It looked like when a strong wind shakes a fig tree and the figs that are not yet ripe fall onto the ground. 14The sky disappeared like a scroll when someone has rolled it up. Every mountain and island disappeared. They were gone.
15The kings of the earth, the important people, the generals and the rich people, those who rule over other people, the slaves and the people who were free all hid themselves in caves and among the rocks on the mountains. 16They said to the mountains and rocks: ‘Please fall on us, and hide us from God who sits on the throne. We do not want the Lamb to punish us, 17because the time has come for God and the Lamb to punish us, and we will not stay alive.’
