IINDUMISO 117:1-2XHO96Vula kumfundi weBhayibhile

I want to end off the February series with a message from Psalm 117, the shortest Psalm in the Bible.

Two verses. Two assignments. Two powerful promises.

In Psalm 117 we read: “Praise the LORD, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD.” (Psalm 117:1-2)

What should we do? “Praise and extol the Lord.” Why should we do it? “For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.”

No storm is ever too great for God to calm – not the doctor’s diagnosis, not your spouse you suspect might be yearning for someone outside your marriage, not even your credit card that is so far in the red that you wonder how you will get through this month. No, nothing is too difficult for God. He still heals. He is still able to protect our marriages when we feel weak, and yes, He can still provide in strange ways when we decide to completely trust Him for every breakthrough in our lives.

Let us make God our rock on which we build our lives. Let us praise our Creator, King of Kings and Lord of Lords for great is his love toward us, and His faithfulness endures forever! God bless.

Prayer: Father God I praise You for your glory and omnipotence. Thank you that you will never leave me nor forsake me. Help me to always keep my eyes on you in difficult times. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
