New beginnings … with supernatural faith

[Background: When last did you trust God for a supernatural breakthrough? Here are two testimonies from Verse a Day readers testifying of God’s goodness.]
Reader 1, Brenda: “At the beginning of last year, my husband and I were very disappointed when we discovered that the car we bought as a surprise gift for our son’s eighteenth birthday was stolen from our garage – a few days before his birthday!
We immediately notified the police. However, as the days passed, the chances of getting the car back became bleaker and bleaker. Some of our friends tried to comfort me by saying we should accept the fact that we will not get it back. My neighbour and I, however, kept on praying for a miracle. We specifically asked God to make the thieves so restless that they would return the car to us. To many people that sounded outrageous!
The morning of my son’s birthday, I left for work and in the car, prayed: ‘Lord, you know we wanted to give him the car today. But still, I know that You are in control …’ At four o’clock that afternoon, when we got home, our neighbour informed us that the police were there earlier that day, looking for us. We immediately phoned them. The news? They found my son’s stolen car that morning, parked in front of the police station in Macassar, a neighbourhood along the N2 outside Cape Town. The keys were still in the car and it looked as if the thieves simply dropped it off and left! All the glory goes to God! He made the impossible possible.”
Reader 2, Bernadette: “My daughter is a student at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) and must register this week. Although I am not financially strong, I do everything in my power to help her because she really wants to get her degree. In the past, I used my bonus at the end of each year to pay for her registration. However, seeing that our employer did not pay out bonuses at the end of last year, my daughter stressed all week. I kept on telling her: ‘Don’t stress. God will make a way for us.’
Yesterday we received an e-mail from the university, informing us of my daughter’s successful application for a merit scholarship. She, therefore, does not have to repay anything! I am going to register her later today. I thank God for looking after us!”
Brenda and Bernadette are both correct. Nothing is impossible for God. Listen again to the words in Ephesians 3:20-21: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
What are you trusting God for today? Remember, nothing is too big or impossible that God cannot change it. Just like Bernadette and Brenda, will you also continue to trust God until you receive your breakthrough? God bless.
