The Lord brought us to a safe place
Tell the leader of the choir that this song is a Psalm.
1All the people on earth,
you must shout and praise God.
2Sing about the glory of God,
and praise the name of the King.
3Say to God: ‘The things
that You do are amazing,
and they make people fear You.
You are very strong,
and your enemies fall down
in front of You.
4All the people on earth
worship You.
They sing and praise your name.’ Selah
5Come and see the
wonderful things that God has done.
He has done amazing things
to help all the people on earth.
6He made a dry path
through the Red Sea and let
his people walk through it.
Let us rejoice because of what He did.
7God is strong,
and He rules forever with his power.
He sees what the nations are doing.
No one should rebel_against God
and think he is stronger than God. Selah
8All the nations must praise God,
and everyone must hear how you praise Him.
9He has kept us alive.
He did not cause us to fall and die.
10O God, You have tested us,
and You have purified us, like people
melt and purify silver in a fire.
11You made us fall into a trap and
You made us carry
heavy loads on our backs.
12You let our enemies walk over us.
We went through fire and water,
but then You brought us out
to a safe place where we had enough.
13I will come to your temple
and bring burnt-offerings.
I will do everything that I have promised,
14the things that I said
when I made a promise to You
when I was in trouble.
15I will give You burnt-offerings
of fat animals and fire-offerings
of sheep rams on your altar,
and I will sacrifice bulls and goat-rams. Selah
16All of you who serve God,
come and listen.
I will tell you what He has done for me.
17I prayed to Him,
I asked Him to help me
and I praised Him.
18If I had tried to hide my sin,
the Lord would not
have given me what I asked for.
19But God listened to me,
and He did what I asked for.
20I praise God.
He listened to my prayer,
and He did not stop loving me.
His love never changes.
