We will praise the Lord
1Lord, people should not respect us.
No, they must respect You
and You should get the glory.
You are the One who is faithful and full of love.
2The nations ask us:
‘Where is your God?’
Why do they ask that?
3Our God is in heaven,
and He does what He wants to do.
4The nations have idols
that are made of silver and gold.
People have made those idols.
5They have mouths, but they can not talk,
they have eyes, but they can not see,
6they have ears, but they can not hear,
they have noses, but they can not smell,
7they have hands, but they
can not feel anything,
and they have feet, but they can not walk.
They can not speak or
make any sound that people can hear.
8People who make the idols
will become like those idols,
and so will the people who trust in those idols.
9Israelites, you must trust in the Lord.
He is the One who helps and protects you.
10Descendants of Aaron,
you must trust in the Lord.
He is the One who helps and protects you.
11All of you who serve the Lord
must trust in Him.
He is the One who helps and protects you.
12The Lord remembers us,
and He will bless us.
He will bless the Israelites.
He will bless the descendants of Aaron.
13He will bless everyone
who respects and serves Him,
those who are important
and those who are not important.
14I pray that God will give you many children
and that He will be good to all of you.
15I pray that the Lord
who made heaven and earth will bless you.
16The heaven belongs to the Lord,
but He has given the earth to people.
17People who are dead
can not praise the Lord,
and those who have gone to their graves
are quiet.
18But we will praise the Lord,
now and forever.
You must praise the Lord.
