*Psalms 128

₁People will be very happy

if they fear the Lord

and live in the right way as He wants.

₂If you do that and work hard,

the Lord will bless you and you will

enjoy the things that you work for,

and all will be well with you.

₃Your wife will be like a vine

with lots of grapes.

You will have many children

sitting at your table like young olive trees.

₄Remember, this is how the Lord

will bless people who serve Him.

₅I pray that the Lord from Zion

will bless you.

I pray that you will see how

all goes well with Jerusalem

for as long as you live,

₆and that you will see your children's children.

I pray that Jerusalem will have peace.
