*Psalms 125

₁People who trust in the Lord

are like Mount_Zion.

Nothing will move it,

and it will always be there.

₂There are mountains around Jerusalem,

and that is how the Lord is

around his people to protect them,

now and forever.

₃A king who does what is wrong

will not rule the land for a long time.

It is the land that the Lord gave to righteous people.

If a bad king keeps on ruling,

righteous people will also start doing wrong.

₄Lord, please be good to people

who are good and honest.

₅The Lord will punish people

who have turned away from Him

and started doing what is wrong.

He will punish them with the sinful people.

We pray that Israel will have peace.
