The Lord helps people who suffer
1Lord, why are You so far away from me?
Why do You hide when I suffer?
2People who do things that are wrong
chase the poor people
who can not help themselves,
and they want to catch people who are weak.
Please make them fall into their own traps.
3Sinful people are proud of
the bad things that
they want to take from other people.
They love sinners and they hate the Lord.
4Proud people do not ask God
what He wants them to do.
They make plans
but they never think about God.
5They always think that all is well with them,
and they don't listen to your laws.
They think that You are
too far away to judge them.
They laugh at their enemies.
6They think they will never fall,
and they think they will never have any trouble.
7They curse people,
and they deceive and oppress them.
All they talk about is how to be cruel
or how to do wrong.
8They hide outside the towns
and wait for innocent people,
and they kill people who are weak.
9They hide like a lion in a bush.
They wait to catch poor people
like someone catches a bird in a trap.
10They beat people who
can not help themselves.
They attack people and make them
fall to the ground because they are stronger.
11They think that God
has forgotten those poor people,
and they think that God has not seen
what they have done
or what has happened.
12Lord, please stand up,
and lift up your hand and punish those bad people.
Don't forget the people who need help.
13Why don't sinful people respect God?
Why do they think that God
will not punish them?
14But Lord, You see it.
You see the suffering and pain of people.
You see it and You will do something.
People who have trouble
and can not help themselves
can always ask You for help.
You are the One who helps orphans.
15Please break the power of sinful people,
and punish them for everything
that they have done wrong.
They must never be able to do wrong again.
16The Lord is King forever,
and those nations who do not worship You
will disappear from the earth.
17Lord, You have heard
what the poor people want You to do.
Please help them and make them strong again.
Listen to what they are asking You.
18Help the orphans and people
who are being oppressed
so that they will no longer
be afraid of bad people.
