Pesalema 33:13SSO89SOBula ka mmadi wa Bibele

A colleague of mine and her family searched for her brother for almost two years. He broke contact with them after a traumatic season in his life. During the time of silence, my colleague asked God several times to protect him and help her find him again.

A few weeks ago, she had to make a few calls at work. Deep in thought, she accidentally dialled a wrong number. She only realised this when the person on the other end of the phone answered. When he heard that she had dialled the wrong number, he asked her who she was really looking for – that’s how they started talking. During the conversation, they realised that they knew a lot of the same people. When he asked her who she was, he was surprised. “I know your brother!” he said.

“We have been looking for him for two years,” she responded. The man on the other end of the telephone paused for a brief moment before replying: “You won’t believe it, but your brother stays with us at the moment!” That evening, my colleague went to visit her brother after two years of absence.

In Psalm 33:13-14, we read: “The Lord looks down from heaven and sees all people. From the place where He sits as king, He sees all who live under the earth.”

Can you imagine the smile on God’s face when she dialled the wrong number that day? He knew what awaited her on the other side.

Prayer: Father God, thank you so much for seeing what I cannot see. Please help me to rest in you while I wait for a breakthrough. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
