Jeremiah 45

₁The prophet Jeremiah gave a message to Baruch, son of Neriah. It was at the time when Baruch wrote down on a scroll everything that the prophet told him. It was the 4th year after Jehoiakim, son of Josiah, had become king_of_Judah. ₂Jeremiah said: ‘Baruch, this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says to you: ₃“You say you are suffering because the Lord gave you even more trouble. You keep on complaining that you are tired, and that you can not rest. ₄But my message to you is: I will soon break down what I have built, and I will pull out what I have planted, everywhere in the land_of_Judah. ₅Baruch, you made big plans for yourself. Don't do what you have planned because all the people are going to suffer. But I will protect you wherever you go. I will keep you alive. You will have nothing else, but you will live.” ’
