God cares for the earth
Tell the leader of the choir that this song is a Psalm of David.
1O God, we must praise You in Zion,
and we will do what we promised You.
2You are the One who listens to our prayers.
All the people of the world
will come and worship You and
3confess that they are sinners.
Our sins are too many for us to carry,
but You forgive our sins and take them away.
4If You choose people
and invite them to come
and stand in your temple,
they are really blessed and happy.
We are so happy to have the
wonderful things that are in
your temple, your holy place.
5When we pray to You,
You answer us by giving us
wonderful and righteous things.
O God, You are our Saviour.
All the people know
that You will help them,
even those in the
furthest places on earth
and on the other side of the sea.
6You are stronger
than anything and anyone.
You are the One who put
the mountains in their place.
7When You speak, the sea
and the waves become still
and all the nations become quiet.
8People at the end of the earth
fear You when they see
the miracles that You do.
You make them rejoice
from the east to the west.
9You take care of the earth.
You give rain and You
make the ground fertile.
The rivers of God are full of water,
and the wheat grows because
You make it grow.
10You send rain
to the wheat_fields,
so there is a lot of water on the fields
where people have ploughed.
You make the hard ground wet
and soft with the rain
and You bless the plants
and make them grow.
11You give a big harvest.
Everything grows well and
the wagons are full of wheat.
12The fields are full of grass
for the sheep to eat
and the hills rejoice.
13The fields are full of sheep,
the valleys are full of wheat
and all the people sing and rejoice.
