I will say how good God is
Tell the leader of the choir that this is a song of David, when Doeg, the Edomite, told Saul that David had come to the temple of Ahimelek.
1You, sinner,
you think that you are strong
and you boast about
the bad things that you do.
Why do you do it?
God is faithful. His love goes on and on,
and it will never stop.
2You always think of how
you can destroy other people.
You say things that hurt people
and wound them,
and you try to deceive everyone.
3You love doing bad things
more than good things.
You love telling lies
more than telling the truth. Selah
4You like to deceive people,
and you are always false.
5But God will defeat you forever.
He will grab you from your home
and He will cause you to die. Selah
6The people who live in the right way
will see it and they will fear God.
Then they will laugh at you and say:
7‘Look what happened to the man
who did not believe in God,
who trusted his money
and became rich
by destroying other people.’
8But I am like a green and healthy olive tree
growing in the temple of God.
I will trust in God
who is faithful forever and ever.
9Lord, I will thank You forever
for all the wonderful things
that You have done to me.
I will trust in your name
and tell people how good You are.
I will say it where
all the believers are together.
