Please show everyone that You are the Great_King
(Also in Psalm 57:8-11)
This song is a Psalm of David.
1O God, my heart belongs to You
and I trust in You.
I want to sing to You and
play music with all my heart.
2I want to play my harp and lyre
and I will sing before the sun comes up.
I want to wake up the day.
3I want to thank You,
O Lord, and I want
all the nations to hear me.
I want to sing before all of them.
4Because You are faithful and
your love never ends.
It is great, and it is higher than the sky.
5O God, show everyone that
You are the Great_King of heaven.
Let all the people on earth see your glory.
6Please use your power and
save everyone that You love.
Please do what I ask You and free your people.
7God has made a promise
in his temple and said:
‘When I defeat my enemies,
I will divide the city of Shechem
and I will measure the Sukkoth Valley
and give it to my people.
8The land of Gilead belongs to Me,
and Manasseh is also mine.
The land of Ephraim is like a helmet
on my head and
the land_of_Judah is my sceptre.
9The land of Moab is my wash basin
and the land of Edom is the place
where I put my shoes.
I have defeated the land
of the Philistines and I rejoice.’
10Who will bring Me to
the city with strong walls?
Who will lead me into Edom?
11But God, You have thrown us away.
You don't go with our soldiers
when they go to war.
12Please come and help us
against our enemies
because people can not help us.
Only You can.
13If God is with us, we will be strong.
He will trample and defeat our enemies.
