JESAYA 54:17NSO00Bula go Mmadi wa Bibele

I recently saw a video clip on social media of a snake and a mouse in a glass enclosure. The mouse was clearly placed in the enclosure as lunch for the snake. What caught my attention was the mouse’s fearless determination not to be caught. It danced and jumped all around the snake, while the snake followed.

Then, in the moment when the snake aimed and struck at the mouse, its fang ended up in its own body. The snake wriggled around before the video clip ended.

Sometimes, we are like the mouse in the enclosure, having to fend off attacks from all sides in our own lives – at the workplace, at home, facing challenges with a child, financial struggles, etc. After all, in 1 Peter 5:8, we read that the enemy, like a roaring lion, prowls around seeking areas in our lives to attack us.

The good news is that God protects us and can even turn the enemy’s or people’s bad plans into something good for us. In Isaiah 54:17, we read: “‘No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,’ declares the LORD.”

God takes care of us and protects us. He is still able to let us walk away unscathed from situations that unjustly come our way! God bless.

Prayer: Father God, thank you very much for protecting me. I bring (mention your challenge) to you. Take control of the situation and be merciful to me, please. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
