Paul sends greetings
1Phoebe is one of the believers and a deacon of the congregation in the town of Cenchreae. You can trust her. 2She belongs to the Lord so you must welcome her as you welcome all the believers and people who belong to the Lord. You must please help her and give her anything that she needs because she has helped a lot of other people and she has also helped me.
3Give my greetings to Priscilla and Aquila who work for Jesus Christ with me. 4They saved my life but they almost died themselves. The congregations of the Gentiles and I thank them for saving my life. 5Also give greetings to the congregation that comes together in the house of Priscilla and Aquila.
Give greetings to my good friend Epenetus. He was the first person in Asia who believed in Christ. 6Give greetings to Mary. She has worked very hard to help you.
7Give greetings to Andronicus and Junia. They are Jews, like me, and they were in jail with me. They believed in Christ before I did. They are important and the apostles respect them. 8Give greetings to my dear friend, Ampliatus, who also belongs to the Lord.
9Give greetings to Urbanus who worked with us for Christ, and give greetings to my dear friend Stachys. 10Give greetings to Apelles. He is a faithful servant of Christ.
Give greetings to everyone in the family of Aristobulus. 11Give greetings to Herodion who is also a Jew, like I am. Give greetings to everyone in the family of Narcissus, who belong to the Lord.
12Give greetings to Tryphena and Tryphosa who are working hard for the Lord. Give greetings to my dear friend Persis. She has also worked very hard for the Lord.
13Give greetings to Rufus. The Lord also chose him to belong to Him. Also give greetings to Rufus' mother. She is also a mother to me.
14Give greetings to Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas and the believers who are with them. 15Give greetings to Philologus, Julia, Nereus and his sister and Olympas and all the believers with them.
16You must greet each other with a kiss which shows that you all belong to Christ.
All the congregations of Christ send greetings to you.
17Friends, I beg you, beware of the people who make you fight and sin. This is not what you have learned. You must stay away from those people. 18They don't serve Christ the Lord. They think only of what they want for themselves. They say things that please people and they deceive people who easily believe everything that other people tell them. 19Everyone knows that you obey Christ and I am happy that you obey Him. I want you to be wise and to know what is good and not to do anything that is wrong.
20God who gives peace will soon defeat Satan and you will rule over him. I pray that our Lord Jesus Christ will be good and gracious to you.
21Timothy, who works with me, sends greetings to you, and so do Lucius, Jason and Sosipater. They all are Jews like I am.
22I, Tertius, have written this letter. I wrote down what Paul told me to write. I also belong to the Lord and I send greetings to you.
23-24I am staying with Gaius. He also sends greetings to you. All the believers in the congregation who come together in his house also send greetings to you. Erastus, who works with the money of the city, and our friend Quartus send greetings to you.
Paul praises God
25God can make your faith strong. This is the Good_News that I preach, the Good_News about Jesus Christ. People did not know about the message of Christ before, 26but now God has sent the message of Christ so that everyone can understand it. They can read it in the books of the prophets. God who lives forever said all the Gentiles must listen to the message so that they can believe in Christ and obey Him. 27Let us praise Jesus Christ and God forever. He is the only wise God. Amen.
