Other people will come with the Israelites
1The Lord says:
‘You must keep on doing
what I told you to do.
You must do what is right to other people,
because I will come soon
to save my people. Everyone will see this.
2I will bless everyone who obeys
the laws of the Sabbath day,
and does not make it impure,
and everyone who never does
things that are wrong.
3There are strangers who live among
the Israelites and who worship Me.
They must not say:
“The Lord will not accept me with his people.”
And there are men who are emasculated.
They must not say: “I can not have any children.
I am like a dry tree that can not give fruit.”
They must not think like that,’
4because the Lord says:
‘The men who are emasculated
must continue to celebrate my Sabbath days
and do what I want them to do.
They must keep on living as I said
when I made a covenant with the Israelites.
5Then I will write down their names
in my temple so that everyone
will always remember them.
Their names in the temple
will be more important to them
than sons and daughters.
Their names will be there forever.
6-7People who are not Israelites,
but worship and serve Me,
must know that I will bring them
to my holy_mountain
and they will be happy when they come
into my temple to pray.
They must love my name,
and they must be my servants.
They must not disobey the laws
of the Sabbath day and make it impure
and they must keep on living like I said
when I made a covenant with the Israelites.
I will accept their offerings on my altar
because my temple is a house of prayer
for people of all nations.’
8This is what the Lord,
He who is God, said.
Enemies chased away the Israelites
from their land,
but the Lord will call all the Israelites
to come together and
He will bring more people with them.
The leaders don't know how to do their work
9The Lord says:
‘All the wild animals in the field
and in the forests,
you must come and eat
all the leaders of my people.
10The leaders that have to look
after my people are like dogs
that can not see or hear anything.
They just want to lie down and sleep.
11They are like dogs that are always hungry
and never get enough food to eat.
They are like shepherds who
do not know how to do their work.
Everyone does what he wants to do
and he cares only for himself.
12They say to each other:
“Let's drink more wine.
Tomorrow will be like today.
No, it will be even better.” ’
