Revelation 3

₁‘You must write to the angel of the congregation in the town of Sardis. Tell him:

The One who has the 7 Spirits of God and the 7 stars says: “I know what you are doing. People think you are spiritually_alive, but you are spiritually_dead. ₂You must wake up. There are some people with you who are almost spiritually_dead. You must help them to live_spiritually, because I see they don't do what is right. They don't do what my God wants. ₃You must remember the things that they told you when you started to believe in Me. You must come back to Me and do the things that I want you to do. Yes, you must wake up. If you do not wake up, I will come to you like a thief comes, and you will not know when I will come.

₄But there are some people in Sardis who live in the right way. They are worthy, and they live like I want them to live. I am pleased with them and that is why they will be with Me, and they will wear white clothes. ₅If you win against Satan and keep on believing, you will also get white clothes to put on. I will never wipe your name out of the book_of_life. Yes, I will say that you belong to Me. I will say it in front of my Father and his angels.

₆If you understand what the Spirit says to the congregations, then you must obey Him.” ’

₇‘You must write to the angel of the congregation in the town of Philadelphia. Tell him:

The holy One, the One who always does what He says, has the key of King David. When He unlocks a door, no person can close or lock it. And when He closes and locks something, no one can open or unlock it. He says: ₈“I know what you are doing. You are not strong, but you have done what I told you to do and you have not been afraid to say that you belong to Me. That is why I have opened a door for you and no one can close it. Now you can be with Me. ₉There are people in your town who say they are Jews but they lie. They are not Jews. They come together in a synagogue, but it is the synagogue of Satan. I will make them come and kneel before your feet. They will know and accept that I love you.

₁₀I told you to be patient when people do bad things to you because you belong to Me. And you have been patient. That is why I will protect you. All the people on earth will suffer when I test them, but I will protect you. ₁₁I will come soon. You must keep on believing as you believe now. Then no one will be able to stop you, and you will win against them. ₁₂If you win against Satan and keep on believing, then I will make you like a pillar in the temple of my God. Yes, you will be in heaven and you will never go out of there. I will write the Name of my God on you and I will write the name of my God's city on you. The name of his city is the New Jerusalem. The New Jerusalem will come down from my God. It will come from heaven. I will also write my new name on you.

₁₃If you understand what the Spirit says to the congregations, then you must obey Him.” ’

₁₄‘You must write to the angel of the congregation in the town of Laodicea. Tell him:

The One who always does what He has promised is talking to you. He always speaks the truth and never lies. He is the most important. He gives life to everything and everyone that God has made. He says: ₁₅“I know everything that you do. You are like water that is a little warm. You are not cold and you are not hot. I wish that you were cold or that you were hot. ₁₆Yes, you are like water that is only a little warm, not cold or hot. That is why I will spit you out of my mouth. ₁₇You think you are rich, very rich, and you think you don't need anything. But you are wrong. You do not know how very poor you really are. People must feel sorry for you. You are like someone who is poor and blind and who does not have clothes. ₁₈I want you to come to Me. Then you can buy the best pure gold from Me and you will truly be rich. I will give you white clothes and no one will see your naked body. I will give you medicine to put on your eyes so that you can truly see.

₁₉If I love people, I rebuke them and teach them the right things. That is why you must start to live as I want and you must work hard for Me. ₂₀Yes, I am like someone who stands at a door and I knock on the door. If anyone listens to my voice and he opens the door of his life, I will come in. I will eat with him and he will eat with Me. ₂₁I have defeated my enemies and I have taken my seat with my Father on his throne. If you win against Satan and the things of this world and you keep on believing, I will let you rule with Me. You may sit with Me on my throne.

₂₂If you understand what the Spirit says to the congregations, then you must obey Him.” ’
