The first 4 bowls
1Then I heard Someone talking loudly in the temple in heaven. I heard Him saying to the 7 angels: ‘You must go and pour out the 7 bowls on earth. The punishment that I give them is in those 7 bowls.’
2The first angel went and he poured out his bowl onto the ground. Then very bad and ugly sores came onto all the people who had the mark of the beast and who worshipped_his_idol.
3The 2nd angel poured out his bowl onto the sea and the water of the sea became blood. It was like the blood of a dead man. Everything that lived in the sea died.
4The 3rd angel poured his bowl onto the rivers and fountains and all the water became blood. 5Then I heard the angel who rules over the water. He said:
‘O holy God,
You are the God who lives now
and has always lived.
You always do what is right
when You judge people.
6They have killed the people
who belong to You.
They have killed your prophets.
But You have punished
those people who did it.
What happened to them is good and right.’
7Then I heard someone at the altar in heaven. He said:
‘Yes, Lord God Almighty,
the things that You decide
are always true and right.’
8The 4th angel poured his bowl onto the sun. And God said the sun could burn the people with fire. 9The sun was very hot and it burnt the people and hurt them a lot. They cursed the name of God, who sent all the punishments. But they did not turn to God and start living as He wants. They did not start to honour God.
The 5th bowl
10The 5th angel poured his bowl out onto the throne of the beast. The punishment that God gave them was in the bowl. Then it became dark in all the places where the beast was king and the people in those places had so much pain that they all bit their tongues because of the pain. 11They were angry because of their pain and sores and they cursed the God of heaven, but they did not turn to God and start living as He wants. They did not stop doing bad things.
The 6th bowl
12The 6th angel poured out his bowl onto the big Euphrates River. The punishment that God gave them was in the bowl. All the water of the river dried up and then the road was open for the kings from the east to come. 13Then I saw 3 evil_spirits. They came out of the mouths of the dragon and the beast and the false_prophet. The 3 evil_spirits looked like frogs 14and they were the spirits of devils. The 3 spirits did miracles and they went to all the kings on earth and told the kings to go with them to go to war on the important day, the day of God, who can do anything. 15Yes, the Lord Jesus said: ‘I will come again. I will surprise you like a thief, and no one will know when I am coming. If you are ready when I come, then you will be happy. Yes, you must be ready. Do not be like someone walking without clothes, because everyone will see that you are naked.’
16The 3 evil_spirits told the kings to come together at a place named Armageddon. This is a Hebrew name.
The 7th bowl
17The 7th angel poured his bowl into the sky. The punishment that God gave them was in the bowl. God, who sits on the throne, talked loudly from the temple in heaven and He said: ‘I have finished punishing the people.’
18Then there was lightning and thunder. It made a lot of noise. There was also a big earthquake. It was the biggest earthquake on earth from the time that there were people on earth. 19The earthquake divided the big city of Babylon into 3 parts and it destroyed the towns and cities of the nations. God remembered the sin of the people of the city of Babylon. He was very angry with them and He punished them. He gave them the cup_of_suffering that they had to drink. 20All the islands and the mountains disappeared. 21Very big hail-stones fell from the sky onto the people. Each hail-stone weighed one talent. When the hail-stones fell onto the people, the people cursed God because this punishment that God gave them was very hard.
