Leviticus 2
Grain-offerings
1The Lord said to Moses: ‘When someone wants to give Me a grain-offering, he must give Me some of the best flour. He must pour olive oil over the flour and put incense on top of it. 2Then he must take it to the priests, the descendants of Aaron. The priest must take a handful of flour with some of the olive oil and all the incense and he must burn it on the altar as an offering to the Lord. This is a fire-offering that pleases the Lord. 3The part of the grain-offering that is left over belongs to Aaron and his sons. This is the most_holy part of the fire-offerings for Me.
4If someone wants to give a grain-offering that he has baked in an oven, he must use the best flour. It must be a round flat bread that he has mixed with olive oil or wafers with no yeast in it and some olive oil on it.
5When you want to give a grain-offering that you have baked on a flat pan, you must use the best flour that you have mixed with olive oil, with no yeast in it. 6You must break the bread and pour olive oil over it. This is a grain-offering.
7When you want to give a grain-offering that you have baked in a baking pan, you must use the best flour and mix it with olive oil. 8You must sacrifice the grain-offering that you have baked for the Lord. You must give it to the priest and he must sacrifice it on the altar. 9The priest must take the part of the grain-offering that God must get and he must burn it on the altar. This is a burnt-offering that pleases the Lord. 10The part of the grain-offering that is left over belongs to Aaron and his sons. This is the most_holy part of the fire-offerings for the Lord.
11Do not put yeast or honey into a grain-offering that you give to Me, because you may not burn yeast or honey in a fire-offering for the Lord. 12You may give yeast and honey to the Lord when it is a sacrifice of the first part of your harvest. But you may not burn it on the altar. It will not please the Lord. 13You must put salt in all your grain-offerings. Do not forget to do it, because salt is the sign of the covenant that you have with your God.
14When you give a grain-offering to the Lord from the grain that you have first harvested, it must be fresh grain that you have roasted or broken into small pieces. This is a grain-offering from the first wheat that you have harvested. 15You must mix in some olive oil and put incense on it because this is a grain-offering. 16The priest must burn the part of the fresh grain and olive oil with all the incense. This is the part which God must get. It is a fire-offering for the Lord.’
