Joshua 19

₁When Joshua drew_lots again, the families of the Simeon tribe got their land. Their land was in the land of the Judah tribe. ₂It was the towns of Beersheba, which is Sheba, Moladah, ₃Hazar-Shual, Balah, Ezem, ₄Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah, ₅Ziklag, Beth-Markaboth, Hazar-Susah, ₆Beth-Lebaoth and Sharuhen. There were 13 towns with their villages. ₇They also got the 4 towns of Ain, Rimmon, Ether and Ashan with their villages ₈and also all the land around the towns up to the town of Baalath-Beer, in the south. These were the towns of the families in the Simeon tribe. ₉The Simeon tribe got part of the land of Judah because the land_of_Judah was too big for the people of Judah. This is why the Simeon tribe got land in the land of the Judah tribe.

₁₀Joshua drew_the_3rd_lot and the Zebulun tribe got their land. The border of their land is up to the town of Sarid ₁₁and it goes west to the town of Maralah and then to the town of Dabbesheth and to the valley near the town of Jokneam. ₁₂To the east the border goes from Sarid to the town of Kisloth-Tabor and then to the town of Daberath and to Japhia. ₁₃From there it goes east to Gath-Hepher and Eth-Kazin, then to the town of Rimmon and to the town of Neah. ₁₄In the north the border turns to the town of Hannathon and from there it goes to the town of Iphtah-El. ₁₅They also got the towns of Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah and Bethlehem. There were 12 towns with their villages. ₁₆These towns and their villages are in the land of the families in the Zebulun tribe.

₁₇Joshua drew_the_4th_lot and the families of the Issachar tribe got their land. ₁₈The towns that they got are: Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem, ₁₉Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath, ₂₀Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez, ₂₁Remeth, En-Gannim, En-Haddah and Beth-Pazzez. ₂₂Their border goes near the towns of Tabor, Shahazumah and Beth-Shemesh, and it ends at the Jordan River. There were 16 towns with their villages. ₂₃These were the towns and villages of the Issachar tribe.

₂₄Joshua drew_the_5th_lot and the families of the Asher tribe got their land. ₂₅The towns that they got are: Helkath, Hali, Beten, Akshaph, ₂₆Allammelek, Amad and Mishal. In the west the border goes past Mount Carmel and the town of Shihor-Libnath. ₂₇Then the border turns east to Beth-Dagon and it passes the land of the Zebulun tribe and the town of Iphtah-El. Then it goes north, to Beth-Emek and Neiel, and from there to the town of Kabul in the north ₂₈and to Abdon, Rehob, Hammon and Kanah, and from there up to the town of Great-Sidon. ₂₉The border then goes to Ramah and up to the city of Tyre, the city with walls around it, to Hosah and to the sea near the town of Akzib, ₃₀to Ummah, Aphek and Rehob. There were 22 towns with their villages. ₃₁These towns and villages are in the land of the families of the Asher tribe.

₃₂Joshua drew_the_6th_lot and the families of the Naphtali tribe got their land. ₃₃The border of their land begins at the town of Heleph at the big tree near the town of Zaanannim, and it goes on past Adami-Nekeb and Jabneel to Lakkum and to the Jordan River. ₃₄Then the border turns west to Aznoth-Tabor and from there it goes to Hukkok and to the Jordan River, east of the land of Judah. The land of the Zebulun tribe is south of the land of the Naphtali tribe and the land of the Asher tribe is west of it. ₃₅They also got towns with walls around them. They were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth, ₃₆Adamah, Ramah, Hazor, ₃₇Kedesh, Edrei, En-Hazor, ₃₈Iron, Migdal-El, Horem, Beth-Anath and Beth-Shemesh. There were 19 towns with their villages. ₃₉These are the towns and villages of the families of the Naphtali tribe.

₄₀Joshua drew_the_7th_lot and the Dan tribe got their land. ₄₁The towns that they got were: Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir-Shemesh, ₄₂Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah, ₄₃Elon, Timnah, Ekron, ₄₄Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath, ₄₅Jehud, Bene-Berak, Gath-Rimmon, ₄₆Me-Jarkon, Rakkon and also the land near the town of Joppa.

₄₇The Dan tribe lost their land and they then won and took the town of Leshem. They killed the people of that town and they went to live there themselves. They gave a new name to the town. It was the same name as their forefather Dan. ₄₈These were the towns and villages that Joshua gave to the families of the Dan tribe.

₄₉After Joshua had divided the land and had given land to each tribe, the Israelites gave Joshua some land. ₅₀The Lord told them to give Joshua any town that he wanted. Joshua asked for the town of Timnath-Serah in the mountains of Ephraim. Then Joshua went to build the town and he went to live there. ₅₁This was all the land that the priest Eleazar and Joshua, son of Nun, and the leaders gave the Israelites. They drew_lots in front of the Lord in the town of Shiloh, at the entrance of the tent of the Lord.
