Galatians 6
Christians must help each other
1Friends, the Holy_Spirit rules over your lives. That is why, when you see someone sin, you must talk to him using soft words and help him to live in the right way. But be careful that you don't do the same sin. 2You must help each other when you suffer because that is what Christ wants. 3If anyone thinks he is important but he is not important, then he thinks he is something that he is not. 4Each one of you must look carefully at what you do. If you are doing good things, then you can feel thankful and proud about that and not about things that someone else does. 5Because each one of us will have to explain to God why we did the things that we did.
6If someone teaches you about the Word of God, then you must also give him of all the good things that you have.
7Don't make a mistake and think that God is not important or that you can mock Him. You must know this: The things that you sow are the things that you will harvest. You will receive what you have given. 8If the things that you sow are wrong things that sinful people like to do, then you will also receive things that are wrong. You will receive eternal_death. But if the things you sow are the things that the Spirit wants, then you will receive eternal_life, the life that the Spirit gives you. 9Yes, we must not stop doing good things because God will reward us at the right time if we keep on doing good things. He will give us eternal_life. 10That is why we must be good to everyone while we have time. We must be good to those who believe in Christ and also to other people.
The end of Paul's letter
11Now I write these words with my own hand. You can see how big the words are.
12Those people who keep on saying that you must be circumcised do it because they think that the things you can see are the most important. They do it because they are afraid that they will suffer if they say that people must only believe in Christ who has been crucified, and that people must not be circumcised. 13Those people are circumcised but they don't do what the laws say. They want you to be circumcised so that they can boast about what they did to you. 14I do not want to be like them. I just want to boast about one thing and that is the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. The cross of Christ means that the things that people boast about are not important to me. I am not interested in the things that people boast about.
15It is not important if a person is circumcised or not circumcised. The most important thing is that our Lord Jesus Christ has changed us and we are now new people. 16If people live like new people, God will give them peace and He will be very good to them. The people who live like that are Israel, the people of God.
17No one must give me any more trouble about these things because I have suffered a lot for Jesus. You can see the marks on my body. 18Friends, I pray that our Lord Jesus Christ will be gracious to you. Amen.
