Exodus 37
The covenant box
1Bezalel made the covenant box from acacia wood. The box was 2 and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide and one and a half cubits high. 2He covered the covenant box on the inside and outside with pure gold. He made a rim of gold and put it around the sides of the covenant box. 3He made 4 golden rings and he fastened a ring on each lower corner of the covenant box. There were 2 rings on each side. 4Bezalel made 2 carrying poles from acacia wood and he covered them with gold. 5He put the carrying poles into the rings on the sides of the covenant box and they carried the box with these carrying poles. 6Bezalel made the lid of the box from pure gold. The lid was 2 and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide. 7He made 2 cherub-angels of gold and he fastened them onto the 2 ends of the lid. 8One cherub-angel was on one side of the lid and the other cherub-angel was on the other side. The cherub-angels and the lid were made of one piece of gold. 9The wings of the cherub-angels were open and covered the lid. Their faces were towards each other and they looked down at the lid.
The table in the tent of the Lord
10Bezalel made a table from acacia wood. It was 2 cubits long and one cubit wide and one and a half cubits high. 11-12He covered the table with pure gold and he put a rim of gold around the table. The rim was one handbreadth wide and on its side it had another smaller rim of gold. 13He made 4 golden rings and he put the rings on the 4 corners of the table, one ring at each table leg. 14The rings were near the sides so that they could put carrying poles through the rings to carry the table.
15Bezalel made the carrying poles from acacia wood and he covered them with gold. They carried the table with these carrying poles. 16He also made everything that they had to use at the table: the dishes, pans, pots and bowls. They used these to pour out the drink-offering. Bezalel made everything from pure gold.
The lamp-stand for the lamps
17Bezalel made a lamp-stand from pure gold. He had to make the stand of the lamp-stand, its trunk, flowers and flower-buds from one piece of gold. 18There were 6 branches on the sides of the stand, 3 branches on one side and 3 branches on the other side. 19There were 3 flowers on each branch. The flowers looked like the flower-buds and flowers of almond trees. 20There were 4 flowers on the trunk. They also looked like the flowers and flower-buds of almond trees. 21There was a flower-bud at each place where the 2 branches of the lamp-stand came together. 22The flower-buds and the branches were all made with a hammer from one piece of pure gold.
23Bezalel made 7 lamps and lamp-snuffers to put out the lamps. He made everything from pure gold. 24He used one talent of pure gold to make the lamp-stand and everything with the lamp-stand.
The incense-altar
25Bezalel made an incense-altar from acacia wood. It was square, one cubit wide and one cubit long, and it was 2 cubits high. The altar and its horns were made of one piece of wood. 26He covered the incense-altar with pure gold, on the top of the altar, the sides and the horns. He then put a golden rim around the altar. 27He made 2 golden rings and he fastened them under the rims of the 2 sides of the altar. He put the carrying poles in the rings to carry the incense-altar. 28He made carrying poles from acacia wood and he covered them with gold.
The anointing-oil and incense
29Bezalel made holy anointing-oil and pure incense. He made it like a perfume maker makes oils.
