A woman who is divorced
1Moses said: ‘If a man marries a woman, but later on he finds out there is something wrong with her and he does not love her anymore, what must he do? He must write a letter that says they are divorced. He must give it to her and then he can send her away out of his house. 2If she goes away and gets married to another man, 3-4she may never get married to her first husband again if her 2nd husband dies or if he also divorces her, because she has had sex with her 2nd husband and if her first husband marries her again, she will become impure. The Lord does not like this. You must not bring sin into the land that the Lord your God gives you.’
Other laws

10When you lend money or something to someone, you may not go into his house and take something to make sure that he will pay you back the money that he owes you. 11Wait outside the house of the man who borrowed your money for him to come out. The Lord your God will be pleased because you have done what is right.
14You may not be unfair to a man that you have hired to work for you for a day, or keep his money or reward. It does not_matter if he is an Israelite or a stranger who lives in one of your towns. 15You must pay him each day before the sun goes down because he is poor and he must use that money to live. If you don't do it, he will pray to the Lord and the Lord will punish you for that sin.
16You may not kill a father because his child has done wrong and you may not kill children because their father has done wrong. Each one can die only for the things that he himself has done wrong.’
Strangers, orphans and widows
17‘You must make sure that everyone is fair to strangers and orphans and you may not take a widow's clothes when she owes you money. 18You must remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God paid to free you. This is why I am telling you to do this.
19When you cut wheat in your wheat_field and you forget some of the wheat in the field, then you may not go back to get that wheat. You must leave it there for the strangers and the orphans and the widows. Then the Lord your God will be with you in everything you do.
